White water rafting on the adjacent Nantahala river as well as Appalachian Trail hiking. Make this your summer vacation home each year for your family and friends. Home has large great room w adjacent dining for 12 comfortably and kitchen w built in fridge/ice maker along w addit’l ice machine, utensils, dishwasher and 5 star gas range. Generous sleeping accommodations for 14 w/ 4 baths including washer/dryer. Bonus guest house with bath for additional fee sleeps 4 more. There are 5 bedrooms: Bedrooms 1, 2, and 3 each contain a king bed with bath/shower. Bedroom 4 contains bunk beds and a sleeper futon and bedroom 5 has 3 twin beds and 1 queen. The main floor master has a clawfoot tub. Other features of the home include a loft with a library, Wi-fi, 60' Screen with THX Surround, DirecTV, screen porch with fireplace, and a gas grill on porch adjacent kitchen overlooking lake. To access the lake, you walk a landscaped path toward only 10 steps leading to the private dock.
We have been blessed beyond measure to experience this beautiful setting and would love for others to have the same experience. Each bed was personally hand-crafted as well as many of the other touches in the home. We have found it to be a serene place to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. It is always 10 degrees cooler up there than anywhere else - especially Hotlanta!
We are moments away from the Bartram Hiking Trail and Applachian Trail at Wayah Bald. There is a nearby public shooting range near Wayah Bald as well. Lakes End Grill is open peak season for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can drive your boat from our private dock to the restaurant and pull into a slip to eat! The Lakes End Marina rents boats and tubes etc.
Nantahala River Outdoor Center is straight down Wayah Road to US 74. You can have tons of rafting fun for the whole family! Andrews,Murphy,Franklin,Highlands and Asheville are all between 20-90 minutes from our home.
